22 Voted Against VAWA and They Are Now a Catchy Tune

Screen Shot 2013-03-03 at 11.50.35 AMIf there is one good thing that came out of Washington D.C. last week, it was lawmakers finally passing VAWA, also known as the Violence Against Women Act. This will ensure better protection of the women in America, and tougher punishment when it comes to crimes against them. Sad that we need in 2013, but a step in the right direction.

What many were not happy about were the 22 men who voted against VAWA, all who are are Republicans, and only two who are not Caucasian. Telling right?

Well the wonderful women at Ms. Foundation for Women turned those 22 lawmakers into a catchy song so we all know who continued to stand against this necessary law.

As a joke they called it “22” Taylor Swift Parody Video for VAWA. Which I could totally see this being an angry Taylor Swift type break up song. I think the constituents in the districts of these lawmakers need to break up with them come the next election!
