Broads of the Week — 12/4/11 Edition

As our heads swirl this week with the thoughts of the strange “I’m just a victim” speech given by Herman Cain as he withdrew from the race for the Republican presidential nomination, Michele Bachmann setting us straight on gay marriage (gay people can get married as long as they marry someone of the opposite sex) and Newt “the Grinch” Gringrich painting a Dickensian picture of putting poor middle-schoolers to work washing floors and scrubbing toilets, I bring you some excellent reading from women around the web with this week’s edition of Broads of the Week:

Sady Doyle won the Women Media Center’s 2011 Social Media Award for her work at her blog, Tiger Beatdown and the site’s writing about sexual violence, feminism sexism in the media and so much more.

Mocha Momma aka Kelly Wickham, a middle school administrator, knows what she’s talking about when it comes to her post “Mean Girls Turn Into Mean Moms,” this week at Babble Voices.

Danielle Elwood has a great post at her site entitled, Michele Bachmann: The Case for Better Women in Politics.
