#GivingTuesday Guide from The Broad Side

Giving Tuesday, #GivingTuesday, Chicago Abortion Fund, Feeding America, American Red Cross, Ovarian Cancer Research, Multiple sclerosisWe’ve all survived Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. Now we can do some real good by making at least some small contributions to our favorite charities on #GivingTuesday.

We know you all have your favored places to make donations. But the writers at The Broad Side want to share their favorites for you to consider when you’re making your donations:

1. Your local food bank or another group dedicated to ending hunger in America, like Feeding America.

2. Your local blood banks. To find one near you, check the American Red Cross website.

3. To help end poverty and hunger across the globe by introducing sustainable agriculture techniques, consider Heifer International.

4. Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

5. Chicago Abortion Fund.

6. National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

7. If your life has been touched in some way by adoption, many agencies need donations to help families who can’t cover all the costs associated with adoption.

Obviously these are just a few ideas that scratch the surface of causes and organizations that are worthy of our donations. Which causes are getting your #GivingTuesday dollars?
