Everyone has an opinion about “having it all” — Can we? Should we? Dare we?And does it matter what high-profile women have to say about their own “having it all” theories?
The Broad Side is proud to be partnering with genConnect, a great site with interviews from experts on issues that impact our lives every day. And we are happy to present our first weekly video that relates to all the buzz this week around Marissa Mayer, Sheryl Sandberg, and what working women, mothers in particular, ought to be doing or expecting in their lives.
So what does CNBC’s Maria Bartiroma have to say:
What do you think about Bartiromo’s take on this never-ending debate?

I really enjoyed hearing Maria Bartolomo, with a caveat. Many women will not have the foundational opportunities that it takes for success in the world, a college education, healthy children, and a partner with a job. Most of the stories like this deal with women at the very top of their game. Happy they are there, but there are still many women at the other end of the spectrum with miserable lives and lack of opportunity. How to fix it? Pre-school for all, more company-sponsored daycare, and the rest I surely don’t know.
