So it’s the beginning of a new work week, and you’re going to need some things to talk with your co-workers about. Didn’t catch up with anything water cooler-worthy over the weekend? No worries. As always, we bring you our must-reads of the week.
You’re welcome! 🙂
— Is it time for a word other than “feminist?” If those with privilege can’t see why the current feminist movement must be about all women, maybe that’s what we need.
— Speaking of the sad state of feminism, nothing can get accomplished if judgey feminists can’t get past the idea of a woman deciding for herself if she wants to change her last name when she gets married. After all — the name she was born with, for the most part, was her father’s name. Either way, we’re not escaping the patriarchy.
— Girl Scout cookies are apparently now political, as one group is boycotting them because they claim Girl Scouts promote pro-choice role models. Sometimes isn’t a cookie just a cookie?
— And, yes, Mo’Ne Davis “throws like a girl.” We should all wish we threw like her.
